Making complex ideas clear.

I design accessible digital learning and create the multimedia that brings it to life—connecting instructional thinking, stakeholder needs and practical production.

Most of the courses I developed are proprietary to the company or its clients, so I no longer have access to the original course files following redundancy.

This portfolio combines shareable multimedia with concise case studies that show the wider work behind it: audience-aware learning design, accessibility, collaboration with subject matter experts, production, quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Audience-aware instructional design

Working at Height Essentials

Two versions of this course served different levels of need. The advanced version covered the subject in greater depth; the Essentials version was designed for a broad workforce audience, including anyone who might use ladders to work at height.

For Essentials, the focus was a clear, straightforward experience that did not assume high digital confidence or burden learners with unnecessary complexity. The learning was structured using Gagné’s Nine Events of Instruction, progressively introducing and reinforcing the concepts learners needed. Accessibility was treated as part of the core course approach rather than a final check.

SME and multidisciplinary collaboration

RFU Headcase

This concussion-learning project brought together the RFU’s Head of Health and Safety as subject matter expert, DeltaNet’s content team and an external video production company. My contribution included helping translate specialist guidance into a clear creative approach, storyboards and scripts, as well as supporting filming at Leicester Tigers.

The purpose shaped the work: this was not simply content to complete. It was intended to help people recognise concussion and respond appropriately in real situations. Shared storyboards and early review gave each discipline something tangible to discuss before significant production time was committed.

AI-assisted learning scenario

Unethical Supplier Practice

Working from a supplied script, I developed the visual treatment and created the AI character, environment and individual shots before combining them with Storyblocks footage in Final Cut Pro.

ElevenLabs was used for the final voice, with music and sound design completed using Epidemic Sound assets.

Introduction to Anti-Bribery in Construction

Working from a supplied script, I developed the visual treatment to complement the wider course design and sourced the graphics and stock footage.

I completed the full edit, including the ElevenLabs voiceover, music and sound design.

How I work

Learning design is a connected practice.

The strongest learning comes from aligning audience needs, content, interaction, production and review—not treating them as separate stages.

Design for the audienceUse clear language, intuitive journeys and the right level of depth for the people taking the learning.
Build in accessibilityConsider different ways of accessing and understanding content from the beginning.
Make collaboration visibleUse storyboards and prototypes so SMEs, writers, designers, developers and QA can shape decisions early.
Test the whole experienceCarry work through QA, UAT and LMS/content publishing, checking usability as well as accuracy.
Learn from evidenceTreat repeated wrong answers or confusing content as signals to revisit the learning, not simply learner failure.
Use technology purposefullyApply multimedia and AI when they make the experience clearer, more engaging or more feasible—not for novelty.
